I have read all the Sophie Kinsella books and had started reading the Madeleine Wickham (Sophie real name)book. I just finished 'Cocktail for Three' last 2 month . Baru ada masa nak share kat sini.

Her books under Sophie Kinsella are interesting, funny and smart.I discovered the Madeleine Wickham books about 3-4 months ago . Mula2 belek Sophie Kinsella forum, to check kalau-kalau ada buku baru lepas Twenties Girl.Bila start tau je Sophie Kinsella ada buku lain under her real name, I wonder if they have the same writing style?

I think 'Cocktails for Three' was just as good as the Sophie Kinsella books...cuma lebih serious...but still it was just easy to read and enjoyable book. 'Cocktails for Three' focuses on Maggie, Roxanne and Candice..tiga sekawan- their friendship, their contrasting lives and outlooks. Three ladies ni work for magazine yang popular kat London, mempunyai kehidupan , background and problem yang berbeza-beza: depression of the new mother yang tak boleh cope with - motherhood, mysterious of a mistress & her secret lover and the guilt seorang anak atas kesalahan ayahnya yang telah meninggal dunia.They meet for cocktails and gossip once a month.

Heather, the fourth woman who plays ' watak jahat' in the plot...yang mainkan peranan penting dalam cerita ni, yang akan shake and ruins their friendship. Cocktails for Three blends together the friendship, guilt, romantic love, depth of emotion...

The best thing about this book ......this book made me miss all my girlfriends. This story is mostly about friendship . Kita semua pernah buat silap and go through rough times dalam hidup, but your girlfriends are there to cheer you up.Always..

Original okkkk...

Kelakar ada geram pun ada. Pagi tadi pergi kerja, tunggu nak naik lif, ada sorang kakak ni. Tak pernah nampak pulak dia kat office. Maybe vendor or from TM. Mula-mula ok la, dia tegur.."cantiknya bulu mata...lentik". Mula la kembang kempis hidung kena puji..hehe. Lepas tu ..soalan maut dia " Pakai bulu mata palsu ek?..". ?????Tolong laaa...takde la masa nak pakai bulu mata palsu pagi-pagi pergi kerja. I jawab.."Takde la kak..." sambil senyum...tak jawab panjang pun..dalam hati cam malas je nak layan.

Ok..part ni , rasa macam melampau sikit.Bila masuk dalam lif, dia datang dekat then terus je pegang bulu mata I and cakap "Oooo...betul la...bukan palsu". Terkedu kejap...tak terkata. Ada jugak orang macam ni..ish..ish. ** Masih terkedu...sambil keluar lif..

Kak...ni original ok...takde palsu-palsu.....

Ha...yang ni baru la pakai bulu mata palsu...masa wedding dulu. Melentik over tak ingat dunia....

So..2 orang lelaki yang sayangkan kami berdua...hehee, my abah dan my husband together with along dan hazril decide untuk celebrate sekali dua-dua kat Melaka. Why Melaka? Sebab kat sana...makan sedap, murah...dan mak & abah pun enjoy pergi sana. Lama dah abah sebut-sebut nak makan ikan bakar. Simple journey...tapi meaningful sangat...

Bila pergi Melaka , rasanya teringat masa kecik2 dulu...suka sangat pergi sana. Classic and Nostlagic.Masa tu Alang duduk Melaka lagi, kat Tengkera. Suka sangat datang sana...rumah Alang best..ada pokok mangga, luas, boleh main-main kat luar rumah.Pagi-pagi, breakfast kat pantai Klebang...bestnya. Amir pun lahir kat sana...ingat lagi...tengok Alang masa Amir lahir, sambil bawak buku , nak baca untuk PMR.

Sehari sebelum pergi Melaka...dapat ni from my husband. Three roses meaning..I Love U katanya...:)
Hadiah...dah dapat dua bulan awal...sebab tak sabar2..

Breakfast sampai sendat perut & pepatung Along

We left KL Saturday morning, bertolak daripada rumah abah..konvoi dua kereta. Pagi tu breakfast, berenti sampai dua tempat. Singgah perhentian Nilai makan nasik lemak panas-panas yang sangat sedap.Dia bungkus kat situ jugak. Sambal dia sedap, nasik lemak kukus dia lembut dan wangi. Along, pagi-pagi dah makan nasi ayam. Lepas tu , we went to Restoran Jejantas Ayer Keroh and headed to A&W minum float. Along siap shopping pepatung untuk garden rumah dia. Belum sampai Melaka dah start shopping.

Delicious shot, I can almost smell the sambal & daun pisang aroma from here..

Lambatnyaa...& The passion for food

We stayed at Equatorial Hotel. My favourite hotel - Bayview hotel. Tapi, weekend and cuti sekolah, mahal sangat. Tak berbaloi rasanya kalau nak duduk sekejap je. How's the hotel? The condition ok. Food sedap. Tapi...registration procedure at the check in counter very very very slow. Never had such a lousy procedure offered in a 4/5 stars hotel before.Mula la nak bad mood marah-marah. Tapi nasib baik Along pandai buat lawak, and ambik hati...beli flourless chocolate cake yang sedap kat cafe area lobby. Not worth recommending but if for a one night stay and for special occasion..boleh la bcoz it’s located right at the heart of town.

Sementara nak tunggu check in, we naik beca..the trishaw ride, pergi makan Asam Pedas Selera Kampung dekat-dekat area hotel. SUPERB. Memang sedap asam pedas dia...hingga tak terkata. Teringat-ingat sampai sekarang.

We manage to check in around 3pm. Rest and take a nap. Pukul 4.00 sambung jalan-jalan.

Satu beca kena RM60?????

Lepas semua org dah freshened up, we made our way to historical site : A Famosa Fortressred , Sadthuys building, Christ Church Melaka, Kampung Ceti,Makam Hang Jebat, etc.We decided to enjoy the sightseeing around the town in a slow and laid-back ...wat ilek..:).Kitorang sewa la beca...untuk jalan-jalan satu melaka...celah-celah kedai...1 jam setengah, kena RM60 satu beca. According to the rate set by the state government, it is RM40 for an hour’s ride.Ada 3 beca?? Suka pakcik beca tu. Tapi ok la..kalau nak bawak kereta sendiri memang tak dapat la nak berenti lorong-lorong sempit. Kedai-kedai yang best , semua ada kat jalan-jalan yang kereta tak boleh masuk. Nak jalan pun, kalau jalan sendiri, tak tau pun mana nak tuju.Yang naik beca pun...muatannya berat2 belaka.. :). So, takdela ralat sangat..

Mula-mula cam rasa awkward as they play the olden days songs & hindustan songs during ride and everybody is looking at you. Macam artis la pulak. Hahah. Tapi...seronok sangat. Best...jangan malu-malu. Cuba la.

Semua beca were decorated with flowers..meriah dengan lagu hindustan yang pakcik-pakcik beca ni pasang. Colour ni varies depending on their sponsors. There were many Digi sponsored beca around . So mcm Digi, beca colour kuning. Mana beca Celcom ni?

Finally, our most waited moment arrived. It's time for our dinner...Semuanya lapar.. so the next destination was, you know it. right? haha it’s Muara Umbai, for Ikan Bakar. This is like a trade mark ...pergi Melaka, kena makan ikan bakar kat umbai.Never been to Melaka for quite sometime , and we ended up.. SESAT. Lucky, that we managed to reach the place anyway...dengan pertolongan our 'LUCY'

Food?The fishes were fresh but the way the way they cook ..so so je la. Rasanya, salah pilih kedai kot .Lepas sesi menyendatkan perut...makan ikan 3 rasa, ikan bakar, sotong goreng tepung, siput apa ntah nama dia yang panjang-panjang tu...we headed back to the hotel.

Esoknya, pagi-pagi masing dah kelaparan. Semua nak pergi pantai klebang...teringat dulu-dulu breakfast kat tepi pantai klebang.Bila sampai...frust je...pantai dah kena tambak. Tapi, ada lagi la gerai-gerai kat tepi pantai klebang. Sedapnya nasik lemak makcik kat tepi tu...bertambah-tambah. Siappergi ambik sambal sendiri kat dalam periuk . Jeling je makcik tu..Capati dia pun sedap, lontong pun sedap. Semuanya sedap la.

Sebelum check out...our final destination...Malacca River Cruise. Ala-ala feeling kat venice la...
Pay only rm10 for the ticket, and you will enjoy the views...tapiii...the water little bit smelly...:(.
Tapi boring sangat sebab takde tour guide ....hmm...45 min..tapi senyap je takde apa. Bila selisih dengan boat lain je laboleh lambai-lambai buat kecoh.

Romantiknya mak & abah..

Sebelum balik KL. Singgah dulu Muar. Nak sangat makan mee bandung muar. Sedap betul. Makan kat kedai Abu Bakar Hanifah. Lepas tu minum kopi muar yang famous..kopi 434. Kalau pergi muar tak makan mee bandung + minum kopi ni..memang la rugi.

baru tau...sebenarnya sate muar lagi sedap daripada sate kajang.

Quick update..

Once again it's been too long since my last update.
Work has been extremely busy (ehem...ehem...ye la tu).
Sibuk dengan rumah baru.. pening dengan renovation plan, compare quotation sana sini, DIY project, nak sangat beli vs over budget.
Sibuk dengan hari raya.. kenduri kawin sana sini...persiapan hantaran.

Sejuk betul kat dalam office..otak pun boleh beku...yang sedap...tidur di atas kerusi memeluk bantal hijau yang lembut.
