Montmartre : Renault, Vincent Van Gogh...semuanya cantik...semuanya seni

Strollingggg....home of painters, writers........Begin my Walking Tour of Montmartre from just across the street from the most famous cabaret in the world - the Moulin Rouge.

Untuk sampai ke puncak white Sacre Coeur Basilica, we walk walk and walk follow the cobblestone streets to the highest point in Paris...almost 4 hrs.(My friend yang study kat Paris more than 4 yrs...kata, "Gila la kin.I duduk lama kat sana pun tak pernah berjalan naik atas". Oooo..ok..I ingat normal...sebab semuanya cantik2...kalau I naik tram rugi la, tak dapat snap gambar, sentuh, bau...:)). Hihi.Itu baru kegilaan yang sikit . Lepas ni banyak drama air mata akan menyusul.

Kenapa bersusah payah naik ke atas ?. Sebab dari atas tu...kita dapat tengok keindahan keseluruhan Paris...breathtaking views in all directions.Tak perlu bayar untuk naik Eiffel Tower for that >Ayat sedap hati untuk orang gayat :(.Ada tram nak sampai atas, tapi rasa rugi sebab semuanya cantik-cantik. Sampai sekarang teringat-ingat.Kiri, kanan, depan belakang semuanya saya sukaaaa.I love this experience more than I saw Eiffel Tower for the first time. Hihi. Pelik kan? Tapi betul & jujur.

Sepanjang jalan...you'll see where famous painters lived and worked in this beautifulllll hilltop , lengkapdengan windmills, cabarets...rasa macam zaman dolu2. I miss the narrow streets and the village atmosphere. Everytime terserempak dengan orang2 tua yangbaru balik kedai beli buah-buah ...mesti dapat satu senyuman yang paling manis dan jujur.Macam terngiang2...'Oooo..buat la macam rumah sendiri ye nak...:) :)'

Bila travel, tak semestinya benda-benda yang indah atau mahal aje kita nikmati...cerita setiap langkah, pengalamam setiap tempat...itu la yang paling mahal.

Rasa syukur...walaupun hotel kecik aje, tapi tilam masih empuk dan tebal untuk kita golek2 hilang rasa penat. Rasa syukur...walaupun kat negara sendiri, rumah kecik ...tanah takde, tapi masih ada tempat berteduh.



Montmartre Cemetery.... walaupun kawasan dia bersih, terjaga rapi...tapi my hb dah bising dah 'lepas ni kita takde pergi kubur lagi kan?' :). Kalau Montparnasse Cemetery ...sangat cantik...ada banyak bunga...pokok...garden.There are benches for people to sit and chat or have lunch ...plus...It's in the middle of the city :) :)
Yang ni...older,very gloomy, muram...plut its below street level...hmmmmmm...



Opssss...ni bukan dr pelukis ternama :). But still art la kan...hihi

Since...me...myself...yang bertanggungjawab bagi idea nak jalan naik ke atas...so, kononnya I will show the direction.Tapi...end up..selalunya will give upbuat muka sentap, and my hb will take over...dengan sabarnya.
Good team kan... :). Sorang sentap...sorang sabar.

Kedai fabric ni tak bukak lagi masa ni. Kalau tidak...kotak shipping mungkin tak cukup sekotak je :).

We really don't have time to think that our kaki are starting to hurt...hmmmmm...or masing2 buat tak tau je :) . Wait!!more hills, more cobblestones street..oh kaki...be nice ok.

The history begin...

Rue Lepic. Stop...and baca history : Louis Renault built his first car in 1898, calling his car the Voiturette. On December 24, 1898, he won a bet with his friends that his invention was capable of driving up the slope of Rue Lepic. As well as winning the bet, Renault received 12 definite orders for the vehicle.

Strolling around...day 1 : Montparnasse Cemetery

Hari pertama, just jalan-jalan dekat2 area Montparnasse. We decided to walk...just walk :). First day ni tak payah la nak naik metro dulu.

Tak faham pun apa yang tulis kat belakang orang yang sibuk berposing sakan tu.

Selain jeling-jeling, singgah-singgah kedai2 sepanjang jalan yang cantik , tempat yang kitorang pergi first day : Tanah perkuburan. Hihi.Montparnasse Cemetery.Bila masuk je... I was a bit blown away ...besar(19 hectares...wush), bersih, unik dan cantik. Kalau tak bagitau itu cemetery...tak perasan pun.Landscape cantik gila.Many famous people are buried here....tapi hmm...takde pun yang kenal or familiar kecuali Charles Baudelaire - French poet . Itu pun sebab pernah terbaca poems and quotes dia.So...takde la excited nak tengok satu2. Just duduk2...jalan2...snap2 gambar :)

Bila jalan2 kat paris ni... 'not-so-pleasant' experience...selain yang best2 aje semuanya :), dog poop on the sidewalks :(. There’s a little sign J’aime mon quartier, je ramasse = I love my neighborhood, I pick up[..after my dog...].And, no, people still don't pick up after their dogs...Tak berkesan nampaknya .Hihi

Since trip ni sempena our anniversary....hari-hari kitorang akan beli satu postcard...tulis pada diri sendiri and pos kan kat rumah @ Malaysia. Best!!Dah balik rumah...ingat dah habis la trip , balik2 tengok ada postcard2 yang menunggu.Suka hati ku. Must try :)

Brasserie..La Coupole. Nak singgah ke?

Tak payah la. Hihi. Untuk Dinner, singgah kedai kebab halal tepi jalan. Order baguette sandwich + orangina + nutella&banana crepe. Nampak cerah je tu kan? Memang time dinner la tu.Nak tunggu gelap, pukul 10 malam baru gelap. Maghrib pukul 9...Isya' pukul 12 malam. Susah jugak nak adjust first day tu.

Coffee & Croissant : Rue Delambre, Montparnasse.

We stayed in Paris left bank - Montparnasse area. Loved it. We were about two blocks macam tu from the metro (train system in Paris. Will story mory about it later) Kenapa Montparnasse? I lurveeeeeee Art and History :). Before pergi, bila baca travel log / book...they said that Montparnasse has its own colorful history...related  to many of the famous artists, writers and thinkers... :). Besttt je baca masa tu.Bila jalan-jalan kat Montparnasse... you'll be walking in the footsteps of many famous Paris figures such as Picasso & Henry Miller.. who used to meet for coffee. Weeeeeee...sukaaaa. Ha...satu lagi kat area montparnasse ni banyak brasseries yang best2. We love love coffee...so..it was a perfect choice.

Our hotel : Delambre Hotel, Rue Delambre.Staff were helpful and very friendly &&&& boleh cakap omputih very well :).Sampai2 je...we were welcomed with open arms and a sincere hello which was really comforting. 'Owwwh....Welcome Mrs Yahaya..bla bla'. Tak payah susah2 nak introduce :)...as if they were expecting us. Walaupun panggil nama ayah kita je kan . HihiBilik kecik, tak besar...tapi yang penting very clean and adequate space. You could fit two people very well in the room. Dua luggage besar pun still muat.Fresh towels everyday and room cleaned. With the affordable price...tak perlu share bilik air. Internet pun laju :).The neighborhood is nice and quiet.Grocery stores & pharmacy sangat dekat. Tiap2 hari rabu...kat bawah hotel tu ada market jual buah2. Best!!

Kecik...tapi cantik, bersih, cute...semua lengkap la.

Breakfast In A Parisian Street Cafe: Dah letak luggage, still tak boleh check in. Jalan-jalan area hotel dulu. Perut pun lapar tak breakfast lagi. Kat Montparnasse ni merata-rata small cafe macam ni. Part of the routine, culture & lifestyle.

Kat Paris, cafe dia...memang semua kerusi susun macam ni. Diorang suka sambil minum / makan tengok orang lalu lalang. .... feel and smell the real Parisian essence :). For me...orang Paris ni seronok untuk ditelek dan di tengok :)

Ngeri tengok orang sana parking.Rapat-rapat. Kereta canggih2. Ish...tak lepas la ni kalau parking sendiri.



Excited masa nampak Kelisa kat Paris....:):)



.. have a Parisian breakfast of fresh croissants, pain au chocolat (chocolate-filled croissant) atau pain au beurre (baguette and butter) with a cafe au lait :) :).
Orang lain...tak tau la kan. Me? This feeling lagi best drpd duduk kat bawah Eiffel Tower. Hihi.

Teringin nak duduk luar...tapi tak tahan sejukk.

Bunga tengah cantik kembang mekar...

Beautiful blue : Kedai Crepe pun banyak kat sini. My fav : Nutella crepe. Panas2...meleleh keluar nutella tu. Nyum nyum.

Orang kat sana memang suka duduk minum coffe kat balcony. tengok kat atas tu. sejuk2 tahan dia duduk kat luar tu.

Kat belakang yang tinggi tu, Tour Montparnasse...or orang sana panggil the ugly building, sebab design dia macam out of place daripada Paris yang cantik tu. 2 tahun lepas building ni siap...banunan tinggi2 tak boleh bina dah kat city centre.Ada orang cerita half-jokingly..the view from the top is the most beautiful in Paris, because it is the only place from which one cannot see the tower :). Tapi seriously...untuk siap2 yang nak tengok seluruh Paris...tapi takde duit nak naik Eiffel Tower...naik Tour Montparnasse ni pun boleh tengok seluruh Paris...jauh lagi murah.

Lepas check in...balik tidur dulu.Rehat.
