A Glorious Weekend

I had a lovely and one of the most amazing weekends last week : whole 2 days of eating , cooking, walking, hanging out with the whole family.

Sabtu pagi, siap2 nak pergi breakfast with my husband. U can see my mum ...tengah bagi nasihat..ha jalan elok2...pelan2...jangan makan bukan2...

We headed to Kayu Nasi Kandar kat Bandar Sri Permaisuri. Kedai ni baru je bukak. So saja la nak cuba. Tapiiiii...service slow ....tak mo pergi dah lepas nihhh!!

Food, glorious food

For lunch, I made a lovely whole roast chicken...kalah kenny rogers tau.

Start by marinating the chicken with lemon, garlic, rosemary, sage, thyme, chilli powder , soy sauce , salt and breadcrumbs.

Ni le hasilnya.....crispy di luar...lembut di dalam..

Makan plak...dengan sauce2 yang sedap ni...plus my special mushroom + brown sauce.
Sedap tau makan ngan mustard..

In the evening,we snuggled up in front of TV with crisps and zzzz....kenyang

Glorious Twin Girls

Sunday up early, we headed to Putrajaya Intenational Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009. Bunyi cam best kan...tapi Hot Air Balloon nya...ada satu jek. tu pun tak naik2...Takpe la, yang penting family outing and gathering, had a lovely time and good company.

Singgah breakfast kat bawah pokok. sungai besi. sedap sini...megi goreng dia superb.

Kikin miss u all ...girls...hihi

Mak bising ni...jangan jalan cepat2...belum baik betul tu...

Panas la...tapi kita lapar.....

A perfect ending to a perfect weekend

My First Outing

I had my first outing since my surgery last thursday and it helped me sooooo much.

Last thursday was a big day – my 4 week follow up appt. with Dato'. He said I’m doing great and takde masalah so far. Actually everybody was surprised to see me...nampak sihat...berbanding orang lain yang buat the surgery pada hari yang sama. Alhamdulillah.

Masa timbang berat, sukanya dengar...I’ve actually lost weight since the surgery ...yeyyyyy...semangat nak diet nihh. My new life has definitely begun…hahhaha...DRAMA QUEEN!

Tapi, bila Dato' explain secara detail...sebenarnya my cyst actually dah stage 4, the worst stage.... terdiam kejap.Tapi Alhamdulillah...sempat buang sebelum melarat...I rasa syukur sangat2.Pengajaran...pleaseee...jangan ambik ringan kalau ada sakit apa2...walaupun tak memudaratkan pada mulanya.

The next big step - now I need to come up with a plan for longer term recovery and health...so that benda ni takkan berulang lagi. Coz, kemungkinan cyst ni akan berlaku lagi agak besar.

Shasha Elite and her husband pun ada sekali buat checkup ...I think dia dah 2-3 bulan kot pregnant.Cantik dia kat luar...seri ibu mengandung... :), and friendly.

Lepas selesai je post-op check up, banyak lagi aktiviti yang perlu dibuat.Hehe. My husband bawak I pergi grocery shopping at Cold Storage Ikano and look around at Metrojaya, The Curve for clothes.Actually bukan look around je..ada la beli sehelai dua. Hihi. Pastu sempat g Ikea..beli barang2 sikit.

Fun sangat dapat get out and actually be able to walk around the stores without pain. Shopping is one of my fav activities, after all, and ordering things online just isn’t the same as touching everything in the store.

Enjoying the little things in life...sooo happy tengok...beg2 plastik ni

So...esoknya...I serve lunch untuk my husband...consider first time la kot...since surgery.
Simple...kuah singgang, ikan kembung goreng and sambal gesek.
Tapi...banyak dia makan... :).. I Likeee

Cooking as therapy...

Lama sangat dah tak masak...dah sebulan rehat...Hari ni rasa nak masak benda yang paling senang and paling sedap...

The easier the better...hahahhaa . Pantang pun dah start langgar sikit2...

So...I decided to cook simple Spaghetti aglio olio for my lunch ...just now
I think this is a dish that everyone can do... especially in my condition , really really cheap and made with ingredients you always have at home...tak payah nak keluar beli barang...

Wow!

Petang semalam , my mum balik kerja , belum masuk rumah...daripada pintu pagar dah update dia buat apa kat office, staff ponteng la, staff dia curik2 guna hand phone dia la..sebab kredit banyak sangat, ada orang jual tudung baru la...mak dah beli..bayar 2 kali....macam2 lagi la

Mula-mula dia cerita...staff dia bawakkan sayur labu, bendi and bunga kantan from kampung, tanam sendiri...I kata...ooo...ok.. 'Mak nak buat asam pedas la esok. I cebik je, jawab 'ala...Ikin tak boleh makan la mak...buat kuah singgang la...baru boleh makan'. Tapi, bila dia keluarkan sayur2 tu daripada beg plastik...I, my husband dengan abah terus jerit....'WOWWW...besarnyaaa....

Ayah I terus cakap...'kin...amik gambar...masuk dalam website ko tu'...hahahhaha...tada....

I tak pandai ambik gambar...rasanya..kat luar...bendi ni nampak lagi panjang....

Besarkan bendi ni...panjang. Baja apa la pakcik tu taruk...

This book was GOOD.Tapi jalan cerita dia macam buat I terfikir2, sentiasa ada je dalam kepala ...discuss the ending with my husband.Kebetulan lepas tu, tengok kat astro, Top 15 political scandals , so ...I really hate the realities.

What I can't stand is witnessing over and over again these poor wives standing next to their cheating politician husbands and gives his pathetic apology to news reporters.Why don't any of these guys have the brave to stand ALONE and face the cameras?

Come on ladies....love feels no burden...love is beautiful..OK.Stand true...and faithful.

Hehe...ok..ok.. jangan emotional..hikhik. Ni pasal masa cuti banyak tengok oprah la ni...ish.

-secrets that they keep in families and across generations, horrific betrayal...even dah kena stroke , tak boleh bergerak, helpless, word-slurring pun still menggatal lagi...ish!

-When she gives birth, her struggle with the baby.

DELIA

-The other woman,Delia is a survivor (kalau depan mata dah marah2 dah dia ni) of a long-standing marriage

-Though she is married to a famous senator, Tom Naughton, Delia lives alone.Separated from but still married to the famous senator, Tom Naughton, who has had affair after affair after affair...endlessly...
-Buku ni banyak flashback the moment Delia discovered Tom's most unforgivable affair, a romance with their daughter's close friend..and other women...other women...other women...never ending scandals.

-Finally, TOM can’t help himself. When he has a stroke...

-Delia who accepts him back into her life....what??

-Delia persists; taking pleasure in the quiet nak jaga husband dia...


In the end everyone gets what they deserve...

...catch-your-breath ending....

But of course, nothing can last. I gasped a bit when Delia found TOM and MERI....

I taknak reveal the ending...spoil je u all nak baca nanti.

**Other part yang I tak suka dalam buku ni, yes..it has the most graphic description of childbirth I’ve ever encountered and pages and pages about pregnancy ...but it's too much...I felt a little overburdened by this level of..explaination.

In the past week I’ve finally settled back into some sort of routine.I have also had to re-evaluate my daily tasks.

No more siap2 nak pergi kerja...or driving.Sekurang2nya...sebulan ni la.

Everyday I mesti buat '3- min jumpstart the day routine' to make sure tak boring sangat.Slow-start routine...hmmmm...Here's how my ideal Jumpstart morning routine goes: Outlines the routine, go through every day to-do-list to start my day on the right foot. I did (yesterday to-do-list) :








I'm feeling very accomplished! Yay me!

Pening baca buku berat2 ni...hihi.Boring...makan bubur, tapi takleh makan cili padi. Ish..ish... Quick..quick...somebody...cheer me up.

I love receiving parcels...this totally cheered me up. Senyum sampai ke telinga.

How my husband makes me happy??Belikan magazine macam2..and my all time favourite board game - 'SAIDINA' 2 kali main...menang besar je...haha.
